Claire and Shai, Mar 22, 2009

Claire and Shai were married on Saturday the 22nd at the Mirror Lake Lyceum. They had a gorgeous Apple Green, Purple, and ivory color scheme accented with crystals. It was sooo pretty! Claire and Shai were also looking fabulous.
Darla Stafford was there to get all of the bridesmaids and the Bride looking wonderful, the bridesmaids dresses were such a pretty shade and matched the orchids used so well! Angela finally figured out how to do the chair sashes so I had to show off some of her handy work, this is the look we get requested so much, the no bow look! The sashes really set off the room, and since the same chairs were used for ceremony and reception it was a 2 for 1 deal! I love the color! The groom actually walked in and noticed immediately and admitted that now he knew why Claire had wanted the colored sashes and the chivari chairs!
Above is the beautiful Chuppah adorned by the talented Dana Dineen. The orchids were stunning and plentiful. Cantor Marci Vitkus delivered a heartfelt and personal ceremony, and Scott Zinna from Starstruck video was on hand to capture all of the moments of the day, both are a pleasure to work with.
The low centerpieces accented with Claire's crystal votive holder.
The lovely tall centerpieces accented with hanging crystals and more orchids.

The cake was simple, elegant and beautiful, not to mention yummy! Sweet Memories designed it for Claire.
Below is one of my favorite pictures of the night, Jason Angelini working on his own re-mix while Rob Sword the d.j, had left the table for a moment.

As as surprise for her guests, Claire and Shai had prepared a salsa dance that was to Suavamente. She changed into her reception dress and the couple did an amazing job! There were so many great dancers among Shai's Columbian guests. The groom's sister was really wowing Angela and I and I saw here give a few lessons.

After a bit of instruction from Angela Clair and Shai cut into that beautiful cake and got back to the party. We had the cake cut and put on a table with the ice sculpture so that guests would stay in the reception area and not go plant themselves at their seats in the other room. It worked like a charm, they munched on cake at the bar tables and got right back to the dancing.

Claire and Shai had a beautiful wedding and I wish them much happiness! They were one of the most sincere couples I have had the pleasure of working with. My only regret of the whole wedding was not having any leftover Oreo Bon Bon's that Claire had made from her own recipe! They were awesome, maybe I can convince her to let me post it on the blog!
