Courtney & Nate March 29th

On Saturday Courtney and Nate were married at South Venice Baptist Church and had a beautiful reception at Pelican Pointe Golf and Country Club in Venice. It is not too often that I get to work a hometown wedding so that was a nice treat.

The day went absolutely perfect in my humble opinion. We were on time for everything and all went exactly as planned. I have to give kudos to Courtney for a job well done planning.
The staff at Pelican Pointe were on point:) and did a great job!
Vendors were Beautiful Cakes by Ron, Available Sound, Moments in Time photography, and floral designs by me and my fellow designers at Addington's.... can you tell I had a busy weekend?
Congratulations Courtney and Nate!

Joanna & Dave March 28th

On Friday Joanna and Dave were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa and the reception was at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. The church was beautiful and the colors at the reception were beautiful. Turquoise and Hot pink were beautiful in the outdoor setting.
Darla Stafford did a great job on the hair and make-up, she is a sweetheart.
Kellie Day was the photographer and is as nice as everyone says, I hadn't had a chance to work with her yet.
Scott Zinna with Starstruck video was on hand capturing all of the special moments of the day.
R.J. Vida was the D.J. and kept the crowd dancing until the very last song. A word of advice, when you hire a great d.j., hope your guests let them do their job....
The flowers were compliments of yours truly... done at my flower shop Addington's Florist. Great job on the bubble bowls Angela!
Congratulations Joanna and Dave!

Floral Expo

Well, I will try this again, I posted a witty enlightened blog about the Floral expo that I attended on the 24th of February and as I hit post, it disappeared. I will see how take 2 turns out....

Angela and I, along with another co-worker from the flower shop went to Teleflora Live, an industry expo. I thought that some of the new wedding designs would interest you all a bit.

Above is a new twist (haha) on a wrist corsage, pretty cool for a wedding or a prom.
A pretty cool Mother of the bride nosegay made of mini green cymbidium orchids.

Here is a cylindrical bouquet that is very natural... Yes that is silk lily of the valley. It is so expensive and doesn't hold up very well so the silk is a great option.
